Police were questioning a man Wednesday evening in connection with a suspicious fatal fire in Queens, according to police sources.
The fire broke out at about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday on the first floor of a house on 219th Street near 89th Avenue in Queens Village, according to FDNY.
Emergency responders quickly put out the fire, but the 63-year-old woman inside could not be saved, officials said.
The NYPD on Wednesday identified the victim as as Bibi Jasmin.
