Bill de Blasio got back to being a full-time mayor on Saturday, spending the day attending civic functions and making zero public mention of his failed presidential bid — or The Post’s cheeky front page “obituary” of his doomed campaign.
Twitter, however, had much to say about the Page One diss, in which the paper pronounced the ill-fated campaign “dead of ego-induced psychosis.”
“Well written, singed with truth my compliments to the chef,” tweeted @Richard90618832.
“One of the many reasons why I love the NY Post,” gushed CNBC “Fast Money” co-host Tim Seymour.
De Blasio did get to enjoy a “leave the campaign, take the canolis” moment at the Feast of San Gennaro in Little Italy, where he presided over a meatball-eating contest.
The event may have seemed small potatoes after his failure to make White House history — but Hizzoner seemed game.
