St. John’s fills out roster with local guard Rasheem Dunn

Mike Anderson has filled out his first roster at St. John’s, doing so with his second local player, Cleveland State transfer Rasheem Dunn.

The Brooklyn native, who attended Thomas Jefferson High School with former Johnnies star Shamorie Ponds, picked the Red Storm over Siena, Arkansas, New Mexico and George Mason, among others.

The 6-foot-2 Dunn, a natural scorer who can play both guard positions, will seek a waiver to be eligible immediately after sitting out this past season following his transfer from St. Francis Brooklyn to Cleveland State. He left the Horizon Conference school when coach Dennis Felton was fired three weeks ago.
