A Texas mother missing for more than two weeks was once on El Paso’s “Most Wanted” list and was wanted on dozens of criminal charges when she disappeared, reports said Thursday.
Erika Gaytan, 29, vanished after a July 13th concert date at the El Paso County Coliseum — with cops saying she “could be in danger” when they announced she was missing.
At the time she disappeared, Gaytan faced 66 charges of credit card abuse and an accusation of criminal mischief stemming for a 2017 case, local outlet KVIA reported.
The mom of a 7-year-old son is scheduled in court for that case Friday — and also has another court appearance scheduled in September, according to the outlet.
She was one of El Paso’s “Most Wanted” back in 2017, the outlet said.
Still, police said they don’t believe the charges were a factor in her disappearance at this point. They said she is still considered to be endangered.
Police previously released a photo of Gaytan in the white dress she was wearing the night of her rendezvous.
Her date claims they parted ways at the end of the show, when she said she was getting an Uber home.
Viktor Renovato, the father of Gaytan’s son, previously told KFOX14 that she had texted that night asking for a photo of their boy while he was at the movies.
“That was the last text I got,” Renovato told the station.
