Marcus Stroman’s first three starts as a Met were underwhelming. His fourth went worse – he was forced to leave because of injury.
The former Blue Jay, acquired by the Mets before the trade deadline, departed Wednesday night’s game at Citi Field against the Indians after the fourth inning with left hamstring tightness, leaving heavy lifting for the Mets bullpen.
Stroman allowed one run on five hits while he was in there, standing runners in three of his four innings.
He now has a 4.58 ERA as a Met, giving up 25 hits in 19.2 innings.
