The Sitch got hitched.
On “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation,” fans of the reality show got a front-row seat to Mike “The Situation” and Lauren (née Pesce) Sorrentino’s wedding.
Though the event took place on November 1, 2018, the MTV coverage of the show aired Thursday night. In January 2019, the Sitch was sent to prison for tax evasion.
Legal troubles aside, the days leading up to the wedding were no cakewalk.
Co-best man and fellow star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro was in the midst of a scuffle with girlfriend and baby mama Jen Harley at the time.
Ortiz-Magro wasn’t the only Shore castmate in the wedding party. The “Guidos in tuxedos,” Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio and Vinny Guadagnino also served as co-best men. Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi’s daughter, Giovanna, and Jenni “Jwoww” Farley’s daughter, Melani, served as flower girls.
The wedding took place at Legacy Castle in Pequannock, NJ.
As guests arrived, aerialists poured champagne while floating from the ceiling.
“Two weeks ago I was walking into a federal court in a really serious situation,” Mike says in a confessional. “Now, I’m walking in a castle about to ready my queen.”
“You look fire,” Mike says to Lauren, or “Laurens” as he calls her, as they meet at the top of the aisle.
“No, you look fire,” she says, complimenting him back.
After the “I Dos,” “Big Daddy Sitch” hosted a spread for the ages, with stations for pasta, mozzarella, sushi, seafood, short rib, cannolis and more — just for the cocktail hour.
“It’s the best wedding I’ve ever been to in my life, hands down,” says DelVecchio.
DelVecchio, Gudagnino and Ortiz-Magro performed a special dance for their friends to Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock’s “It Takes Two.” As a surprise, DelVecchio flew in Base to perform the song live, though fans will have to tune in next week to it, along with the rest of the reception.
Also next week: the best man speeches, when one of them might read the infamous note.
