It’s Jaws-dropping video!
A great white shark was filmed leaping out of the water at a fishing boat — snapping up a fish right next to where a young boy was standing.
The wild video starts innocently with a passenger slowly pulling in a fish on the Columbia Sportfishing boat in Cape Cod Bay on Saturday.
Without warning, the shark — later confirmed as a great white — leaps out to snatch the fish as young Jack Nelson jerks back in horror.
“Holy shizzle! Dad that was at my fingers! I almost don’t have any arms,” cried Nelson in the full footage shared with New England Cable News (NECN).
“I didn’t know what to do. It was shocking,” Nelson, who was with four friends as well as his family, told the station.
The video was captured by his dad, Doug Nelson, who immediately cried, “I got that on video!”
“Just a crazy fishing story that the shark came to the boat and gave us a pretty good scare,” Nelson told NECN.
The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy confirmed it was a great white, according to the station.
The boat’s captain, Marc Costa, said he’s had four other close-ups before.
“There have been some close takes … but nothing as acrobatic as that,” he told the Boston Herald.
“It was exciting and scary and exhilarating and kind of surreal.”
