Odell Beckham puts sudden end to Giants drama

Multiple blowups later, Odell Beckham Jr. is finally ready to move on from the Giants.

“The only time I talk about it is when I get asked about it,” Beckham told reporters Tuesday at his youth football camp in Cleveland. “It’s like a double-edged sword. I don’t want to talk about it. But if I get asked about it, I feel like I have to answer the question.”

The 26-year-old Browns receiver was asked plenty about the Giants, and the controversial March trade that brought him to Cleveland, in a GQ interview published Monday.

Beckham told the magazine he felt disrespected by Big Blue, and said general manager Dave Gettleman and coach Pat Shurmur couldn’t “get past my past” — likely referring to his snafus off the field, including him attending an infamous boat party with several teammates the week of a 2017 playoff game.

But Beckham has also attacked the Giants outside of a media setting. In April, he went on a Twitter tirade in response to a report in which Gettleman hinted Beckham had a negative effect on the Giants’ culture.

“I’m ready to put it all behind me. I think everybody has moved on,” Beckham said Tuesday. “I’ve moved on. They’ve moved on. It’s just time. This is where I’m at. I’m a Cleveland Brown now. This is my team.”
